Sindh Government Offers Free Entry to Museums and Historical Sites from August 1 to 14
People in Sindh can visit museums and heritage sites without paying any fee from August 1 to August 14. This has been announced by the Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives Department of Sindh. It is part of the celebrations for Pakistan’s Independence Day 2025.
A special notice was shared for this. It said the theme of this year’s celebration is “Marka-i-Haq”. This means “Battle of Truth”. It remembers how Pakistan’s army responded to Indian attacks during May. One of the army operations was called Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
On April 22, there was an attack in Pahalgam, a town in India. India said Pakistan did it, but no clear proof was shared. Then on May 6 and 7, India carried out air strikes. Civilians were harmed. After this, both countries fired missiles at each other for a week. The war ended after a ceasefire helped by the United States.
Many popular museums in Sindh will be free to visit during these 14 days. These include the Quaid-i-Azam House Museum in Karachi, Sindh Provincial Museum in Hyderabad, Folk and Craft Museum in Sehwan Sharif, Banbhore Museum near Thatta, Kotdiji Museum in Khairpur, and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Museum in Larkana.
All of these places are managed by the government. They show the culture, history, and traditions of Sindh and Pakistan. People of all ages are invited to visit. It is a good way to learn more about Pakistan and enjoy the Independence Day celebrations.
