Global Support Grows for Palestinian Statehood as France and Pakistan Lead the Call for Peace

More countries now want Palestine to become free . France has said it will officially recognize Palestine as a state at the United Nations in September. This is a big step. It shows that powerful countries are now taking real action. France is the first country in the G7 group to do this. This means that the idea of two states, Israel and Palestine, living side by side is no longer just a dream. It is now being taken seriously.

Pakistan has always supported this idea. It believes that there cannot be peace in the Middle East until Palestine is free and safe. Pakistan says both countries should live next to each other, with borders that were there before 1967.

This week, a significant meeting took place at the United Nations in New York. It lasted three days. France and Saudi Arabia arranged it. A total of 123 countries and groups joined it. The goal was to bring back the plan for two countries, Israel and Palestine, living peacefully next to each other.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, said this meeting was “very appreciable”. He asked for the war in Gaza to stop right away. He also asked for food, medicine, and help to reach people in Gaza without delay. He said Palestine should become a real country soon. The meeting had eight groups working on different ideas to make peace happen. It was not just words — people there wanted real results.

Pakistan has always stood with Palestine. It believes that Palestine should be free, because that is fair and right. Pakistan also led a discussion at the UN recently. It talked about how war and destruction are not the answer. Mr. Dar said, “the real path forward is through dialogue and diplomacy”. This is a message for the whole world.

Some countries, like Israel and the United States, do not agree with the meeting. They even tried to stop others from going. But their voices are getting weaker. More than 140 countries already say Palestine should be a country. Now that France supports it, more Western nations may do the same.

This new support must not stop. It must lead to real changes , not just promises. People around the world are asking for fairness. The people of Palestine have suffered for a very long time. They have lived under attack and without a country of their own.

Pakistan has supported many peace ideas in the past, like the Oslo Accords and the Arab Peace Plan. These all say the same thing: peace needs Palestine to be free. Giving Palestine its own state is not just a nice idea, it is a right. The world must now work together to make it real. It is time for justice, for peace, and for Palestine.
